WHISPERING'S OF SPRING.©
A poem by Caroline Street.
The cold season is humbled and in retreat;
Underneath the budding trees,
The leaves have moulded into a nourishing feast.
Fragrances of bush ginger and jasmine
Waft in the refreshing air;
The palette of winter is waning.
Any day now, growth will be in full swing,
Giving rise to the whispering's of birth,
New life and hues after winter's dearth.
Unseen awakenings take place beneath the earth;
Hidden root systems are inspired,
And tiny leaves and buds herald revival.
Propitious nature performs at its leisure,
Yet, is constantly in harmony with the Creator.
Dappled touches of sunlight
Creates patterns on fresh leaves,
While a gentle breeze plays music to please,
As it ripples through the palm leaves.
Butterflies and birds are out and about;
Their fleeting beauty they will tout.
Welcoming early showers,
Displaying shimmering rainbows
Saturates a grateful earth.
Bleached grass transforms into an emerald burst
And the aroma of wet soil replaces winter's dust.
Glittering raindrops merge
With the hues of shrubs and buds
In celebration of phenomenal spring! ❤
