POETRY for me is an extension of my art.  I approach poetry the same way I do my art and I use the same method to build a poem as I would a painting.   I like to think I write poetry for people, as well as myself, so my words are easily absorbed and understandable.  I find a lot of poetry meaningless as only the author understands what he/she is trying to portray, and sometimes only an in-depth study of a poem will reveal the meaning.   I enjoy revealing the beauty of creation and the joyful, even sad aspects of  life through words, as I see and experience it. Topics - like my paintings, include a wide range of genres and I could write a poem about bees to the Tower of London.  There is way too much in this wonderful world not to paint or write about.   I love to express through my art and poetry and I do not plan on missing a thing!

Most of my poetry can be viewed on this site under the heading ART/POETRY BOOK (see above), which has a drop down menu displaying all the poems. My Blog, https://carolinestreetblog.wordpress.com/ features new poetry and articles not displayed on this site.
