A DISTINCTIVE QUIET.©
A poem by Caroline Street.
The day still,
The air clear and chill,
I sense His will.
I hear the melody of the robin,
The rapid bark of a dog,
The distant sweep of a broom.
Yet, in the room
Sound is frozen,
I have been prompted
To turn my ear to God.
In whispers that echo
Far in my mind,
I’m alert – it is time.
No denials, no buts.
Just listen to His kind cuts,
Convictions and gentle reminders.
In the transparency of my sub-conscience
I embrace His guidance.
I welcome the dissipation of self-doubt,
The drought is forced out.
Inspiration materialises wrapped
In that inexplicable joy!
No hesitation. It will be done.
I’m fuelled for the journey ahead,
The time has come.
